ABOUT

Let's see, it was 1975 when we moved to Chapel Hill and it wasn't long after that when the "original" Bridge Club was formed. It was started with the goal of actual playing of cards - i.e. Bridge! It has progressed to a well net-worked group of "bridge players" from unrelated families who enjoy a variety of social activities - not the least of which is gourmet dining. Southern Living or some of the local restaurant "hopefuls" would be well advised to check out some of our "dinner spreads". Perhaps the most unique aspect of the club is it's survival and on-going relationships for these past - almost thirty years.
Trips and "outings" are not uncommon for the group - although sometimes difficult to get TOTAL agreement we have had some wonderful times over the years - our children will attest to that - who can forget the early house rentals at the beach/coast/shore* with as many as 20 some offspring at our traditional (for a few years anyway) Easter Egg Hunt on the Dunes!
Even though this is know as a transient community the Bridge Club has not suffered greatly from the loss of "players". Most of the "founders" and "charter" members are and have been with us lo these many years!
